Changing the definition of “harm” in the Endangered Species Act would allow threats like mining and logging to encroach on the habitat of endangered species. This change greatly weakens protections for our most vulnerable relatives. When we say “all our relations” we mean all. Many species with an endangered designation are there due to harmful human activity. Every species plays an important role in our intricate ecosystems and our role as humans is to care for and consider them in our actions.
