💙 Whoa that tongue really came out of the blue! 🦎This is Indigo, our Blue-Tongued Skink, and yes that tongue is really blue! When these cuties feel scared, they stick out their blue tongue and flatten it out to scare off predators! The back half of their vibrant tongues is more UV light reflective than the front tip, leading attacking animals to get disoriented with a flash of bright blue and UV light! 📸: Lead Keeper Ashley B.
