The creation of Culpeper Battlefields State Park marked a major victory for historic preservation, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the Virginia Battlefield Preservation Fund (VBPF). For two decades, this program has been a cornerstone of our efforts to save hallowed ground across the Commonwealth, including key lands now part of the new state park. The American Battlefield Trust is deeply grateful to the members of the Virginia General Assembly and to Governor Glenn Youngkin for their steadfast support of both VBPF and the establishment of the Culpeper Battlefields State Park.
