Going into effect today: new legislation that reclassifies and strengthens criminal penalties for those who knowingly commit assault or battery against a utility worker. This legislation will help keep them protected while powering our lives and communities. Thank you Senator Clay Yarborough and Representative Jennifer Kincart Jonsson for State House, District 49 for your sponsorship of this bill, and thank you Governor Ron DeSantis for signing it into law.
