Last week Monumental Women attended 2 great events with partners and like-minded organizations Museum of Chinese in America and the 15th annual Clara Lemlich Awards organized by New York Labor History Association and Labor Arts. A special MoCA panel with activists May Ying Chen and Virginia Kee, followed by a tour of the new space for the MoCA archives. And the wonderful honoring of historian Blanche Wiesen Cook and playwright Clare Coss, singer Bev Grant, poet Rashidah Ismaili, and author Rudean Leinaeng at the Lemlich awards.
