Anna Marie's Alliance

Anna Marie's Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. It has been serving individuals and families affected by relationship abuse throughout central Minnesota since 1979. As of today, the organization has assisted over 21,000 survivors of relationship abuse in their journey toward safety and recovery.

Mission and Vision

The mission of Anna Marie's Alliance is to provide education, intervention, and advocacy to those affected by relationship abuse, employing a holistic approach with an anti-oppression focus. The organization envisions a world free of relationship abuse, where every home is a safe one.

Programs and Services

Anna Marie's Alliance offers a range of programs and services aimed at fulfilling its mission:

• Emergency Shelter Program: Provides temporary housing for individuals and their children fleeing abusive situations. The shelter offers a safe environment where residents can receive support, referrals, and confidential advocacy services.

• Transitional Housing: The Jill Eckhoff Transitional House helps individuals transition from the shelter to independent living by teaching self-sufficiency skills.

• PetSafe Shelter: Ensures the safety of family pets, alleviating concerns about leaving pets behind in dangerous situations.

• Children and Youth Programs: Offers daycare services, group support, and advocacy for children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence. This includes a fully licensed daycare facility for children staying in the shelter.

• Community Advocacy: Provides 24-hour crisis support, on-scene advocacy, and assistance navigating the criminal justice system.

• Prevention and Education: Works with schools and youth organizations to educate children on healthy relationships, boundary setting, and domestic violence prevention.

Impact

Anna Marie's Alliance annually serves nearly 500 women and children through its emergency shelter and reaches over 4,000 school-age youth with its prevention and education initiatives. Its community advocacy programs support thousands across five counties: Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Wright, and Mille Lacs.

Community Involvement

Anna Marie's Alliance is fully inclusive, offering support to all populations, including the LGBTQ community and other minority groups. It engages in community outreach and collaboration to achieve systemic change at the grassroots level.
