The SFD is proud to announce we have completed our West Virginia Office of EMS (WVOEMS) license renewal, and obtained a perfect score (for 5th consecutive time)! The WVOEMS licensure process examines every aspect of the organization (procedures, guidelines, finances, management, training, etc.) and scores the agency on how well it meets the Standards and Requirements (as set by WV law). Achieving a perfect score is no small task, and comes with the awarding of a 4 year EMS license. Due to the changes the Jefferson County Commission made, we are now licensed as a “Rapid Response” Agency, and no longer provide ambulance transports. (fb)
