VAFRE - About VAFRE Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives Our Story Established in 1980 by a small group of development professionals the organization thrives as the premier gathering place for beginning intermediate and advanced fundraisers from across the Commonwealth of Virginia. With a focus on educational and networking opportunities in an open and welcoming environment VAFRE serves as the leading forum for development professionals in the area. Programs occur monthly starting in September with meetings at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond. Handson workshops occur during the year and during the summers a Summer Brown Bag series is offered.
