Founded in 1958, GEMS Global operates primarily within the sectors of children's ministry and family outreach. Its mission is to equip girls with the tools necessary to navigate life's challenges while deepening their faith. Generations of GEMS: Ruth & Julia Gibbons Ruth Gibbons, a club coordinator in Massachusetts, recently shared that it was her daughter's last night of GEMS. "She unofficially started GEMS when I made 12 gingerbread houses as a Christmas craft for our 5th graders and she was born the following Saturday & attended meetings as an infant. Her first official meeting was a camp out at age 3, & she saved her shirt.
