MSSC member Justin Sandall, DO, a neuro-intensivist with the Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Stroke Center (right in photo), spoke with KAKE News about how women have a higher risk of stroke than men. Some of the contributing factors include pregnancy, hormones, birth control, menopause and the fact that women live longer than men on average.
