Southern Harbor House Located on the island of North Haven one of the Fox Islands in Midcoast Maine Southern Harbor House was founded on the belief that elders should remain part of their community. We seek to create a comfortable safe and nurturing environment for community elders who would otherwise be displaced from their island homes in the absence of care giving resources. Our philosophy is fundamentally based in the essential qualities of our closeknit community and focuses on personcentered care. Southern Harbor House is surrounded by picturesque harbor views rolling meadows and is situated in close proximity to town which supports community and resident engagement in social activities occurring at Southern Harbor House and elsewhere in town.
