Most of us take healthy limbs for granted until were one of the 500 people in the U.

Chad had his leg amputated below the knee this year. As a residential construction worker, being confined to a wheelchair kept him from working, and he didn’t have coverage for a new prosthetic. Every day, we hear from new amputees stuck in this frustrating catch-22.

Betty had been using the same prosthetic leg for over ten years. It had worn out so much that it caused her pain, made her lose balance, and would even fall off while she was walking. She wanted a new leg so she could get outdoors, play with her grandkids, and walk her dog without pain or the fear of her limb falling off.
