While June means Pride Month overall, for those in the book community, it more specifically means Rainbow Book Month! This month is dedicated to the celebration and uplifting of LGBTQIA+ authors & works. Libraries offer an invaluable space for marginalized communities and individuals to learn about what they love, and be treated with respect while they access all of the resources offered. This month, consider visiting your local library and picking up an LGBTQIA+ book and exploring a story you've never seen before! Over the course of June, we'll be posting your very own submissions to NYLA where you've shared those in the library and book communities who have championed LGBTQIA+ inclusivity and compassion.
