Japan America Society of Iowa We are a nonprofit volunteer based organization that seeks to establish mutual understanding between Japanese and American communities in Iowa. Our purpose The Japan America Society of Iowas purpose is to promote friendly international relations cultural activities of interest to members and mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and Japan. We provide opportunities to our members and the public to participate in social cultural and educational activities. The JASI History Japan America Society of Iowa JASI was founded in 1989 by a small group of dedicated individuals to promote Japanese culture in central Iowa.
