LifeArk MISSION OUR STORY LifeArkexists to create safe sustainable and affordable homes for people living in lowincome marginalized communities around the world. The daily life of one family dedicated to indigenous people along the Amazon river of Santa Rosa Island with houses built on stilts here was a community spending eight months of the year battling severe flooding trapped in a cycle of poverty generation after generation. As architects we sought to solve this fundamental problem through good design. LifeArk is a physical solution to vulnerable human living conditions caused by climate change natural disasters armed conflict and economic disparity through a prefabricated modular building system that can create selfsustaining aquatic or terrestrial communities.
