Pennsylvania Alliance of Retirement Community Residents

The Pennsylvania Alliance of Retirement Community Residents (PARCR) is a voluntary nonprofit organization based in Pennsylvania. It serves as a collective voice for residents of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) throughout the state.

Mission and Vision

PARCR aims to promote the exchange of ideas, education, and civic responsibilities among CCRC residents, encouraging them to participate in decision-making processes within their communities. The organization strives to create an enhanced educational and informational environment for Pennsylvania's CCRC residents.

Membership and Activities

PARCR membership is open to individual residents of retirement communities. The organization hosts quarterly meetings, often featuring presentations on topics relevant to seniors, such as health issues, personal security, and industry trends in senior living. These meetings can be held at member communities or virtually.

Partnerships and Advocacy

PARCR collaborates closely with organizations like LeadingAge PA and the National Continuing Care Residents Association (NaCCRA). This partnership helps keep members informed about legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting seniors and their communities.

Role in the Community

By providing valuable information and promoting civic engagement, PARCR plays a significant role in supporting the welfare of retirement community residents in Pennsylvania. The organization serves over thirty Continuing Care Retirement Communities/Life Plan Communities.
