Thanks for subscribing. Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis PAP is a lifethreatening lung disorder where naturally occurringsurfactant abnormally builds up in the tiny air sacs alveoli of the lungs. This buildup blocks air from entering alveoli and prevents oxygen from passing through into the blood resulting in symptomsranging from mild to severe and lifethreatening.
