Plano Sports Authority Inc., commonly referred to as PSA, is a non-profit organization founded in December 1970 by local civic leaders to manage and provide youth sports in Plano, Texas, and surrounding areas. PSA aims to offer a comprehensive range of recreational and competitive sports programs for youth.

Purpose and Mission

The primary purpose of PSA is to provide and promote year-round programs for supervised recreational activities, emphasizing both recreational and competitive sports participation for youth. Their mission includes fostering character development, fellowship, and sportsmanship through sports engagement.

PSA operates as an independent non-profit corporation, with a Board of Directors overseeing its operations. The organization is responsible for managing its facilities, which include multiple buildings across Plano and surrounding cities. These facilities house over 38 basketball and volleyball courts, as well as four indoor turf arenas used for sports like soccer, flag football, and lacrosse.

PSA offers a diverse array of sports programs, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, tackle football, flag football, cheerleading, baseball, softball, dance team, and rugby. Additionally, PSA partners with clubs like the Texas Thunder Soccer Club and STORM Volleyball Club to provide select sports opportunities.
