HARLEM ACADEMY

Today we honor Juneteenth, a day of freedom, reflection, and resilience. On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved people in the United States were finally freed. At Harlem Academy, we reflect on history, celebrate Black culture and achievement, and recognize the ongoing work toward justice and equity.
