Together we can change this and ensure the most basic human rights are met for all people. 400 million people live without access to clean water in SubSaharan Africa and women and girls spend 40 billion hours walking for water each year. 1 in 4 people in SubSaharan Africa face food insecurity the highest rate of undernutrition in the world.

There’s something people don’t often talk about - but this Mother’s Day, we are: water is essential for breastfeeding. In fact, breast milk is 90% water. For Agnes, clean water has meant she could nourish her 6-month-old baby, keep her healthy, and watch her grow.
