French media is reeling after a former pizza chef — and former butcher — was arrested for allegedly dismembering a man and cooking parts of his body with vegetables. While butchers becoming human murderers are incredibly rare, studies have shown, nonetheless, that there is a strong link between repeated violence toward other animals and increased desensitization, aggression, and a higher risk of violent crime toward humans.
