Preserving and Caring for Our Island and Its Residents Starts with you DONATE NOW Haig Point Foundation a 501c3 nonprofit organization engages Daufuskie Island residents in supporting community enhancements to provide emergency funds for hurricanes and other natural disasters and to award scholarships for college continued education. Daufuskie Island is one of Americas last great historical and ecological destinations. Accessible only by ferry our 5000 acre paradise is the southernmost sea island in South Carolina and only one mile from Hilton Head. Over 400 residents call our idyllic island home.
