GoServe

GoServe is a collaborative group of churches and Christian organizations working together to enable transformation in their communities. Founded in Michigan in 2021 by Grand Rapids First Church, the organization is led by Lead Pastors Sam and Brenda Rijfkogel. GoServe aims to empower local churches to reach their communities by meeting practical needs and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mission

GoServe's mission is centered on the Great Commission, as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20, focusing on compassion evangelism. The organization works by connecting with those in need through the distribution of donated goods, such as food, clothing, and household items, provided by local retailers and suppliers. By fostering these connections, GoServe helps cultivate relationships and transform lives.

Organizational Structure

• HUBs: Serve as training centers and warehouse distribution facilities for donated items. Volunteers are involved in activities such as unloading semi-trucks, driving forklifts, sorting, and packaging products.
• PODs: Local churches or Christian organizations partnered with GoServe. These PODs receive products from assigned HUBs and equip individuals to serve their neighborhoods.
• HEROs: Individuals mobilized by PODs to distribute donated products, creating opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel.
