🚨 Chicago Appleseed is one of 136 organizations and community members—including 8 Chicago Police District Councilors—that have united to demand an end to the Felony Review Bypass Program for gun possession in Chicago’s 5th and 7th Police Districts. The Felony Review Bypass Program allows police to file felony gun possession charges without independent prosecutor review, undermining due process and disproportionately impacting Black and Brown communities. This program removes critical legal safeguards and increases the risk of unjust incarceration.
