⭐️ FACT FRIDAY ⭐️ What’s with Olive’s crazy look in her eye? She has a “third eyelid”, called a nictitating membrane: a thin, translucent layer that moves sideways across the eye. This amazing feature helps keep her eyes moist, clean, and protected from dust, debris, and bright light. Her very own pair of built in goggles! 🥽 You might catch a glimpse of it if you’re lucky while spending time with our bird residents here at the sanctuary. Big thank you Team A-dec for stopping by and dedicating their time to volunteering with us on one of their 4th annual Family Volunteer Days! 💪💙 On Saturday, these awesome folks got right to it and helped with so many chores and tasks around the sanctuary.
