In Beaverton, a beautiful scrubjay is looking for a song partner as artist David Rice completes his latest mural, Bird Song, in downtown Portland. 

Spanning the entire side of a massive parking garage at the new Modera Beaverton Apartments, this brilliantly detailed mural features two native species: a scrubjay and a meadowlark.

The two birds communicate with one another through a layered environment of shapes. The combination of organic and geometric elements represents a balance between the natural and digital world, striving to find a balance and harmony between them.

When complete, Bird Song will be the largest mural in Beaverton and is destined to be a prominent city feature for years to come! Thank you to the folks at Mill Creek, the City of Beaverton, and, of course, the wonderfully talented David Rice for creating this new landmark for the whole community to enjoy.
