Who We Are For more than 75 years JSL members have supported the shaping of Independence and area Eastern Jackson County communities. What We Do From monthly service projects to fundraising for Community Grants and the Bess Wallace Truman Scholarship JSL members are everywhere in our community. Join Us Through the mission to connect and empower women to positively impact the community through service members in JSL are involved in community leadership services to others and personal development. JSLs annual fundraiser benefitingthe Bess Wallace Truman Scholarship Bingo Brunch Bubbly 2025 Bingo Brunch and Bubbly was held on March 8 2025 and was another successful year in raising funds for the Bess Wallace Truman Scholarship.
