The North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG) is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting people during disasters by providing critical support for their animals. Over time, the group expanded its capabilities and resources, renting warehouse space and establishing more permanent animal shelters. This growth enabled NVADG to respond effectively to major disasters, such as the 2008 Humboldt and Butte Lightning fires and the 2018 Camp Fire, during which volunteers cared for over 10,000 animals[2].

NVADG volunteers are trained throughout the year in best practices for animal handling, feeding, first aid, disinfection procedures, and stress management for animals.
