Amplify Arts

http://www.amplifyarts.org Instagram: Amplify_Arts Amplify Arts promotes unity, innovation, and progress in the arts to build strong and vibrant communities. We believe art and culture are essentials, not luxuries. We know artists significantly shape the social, economic, and environmental facets of our city. They propose new ways of responding to the collective challenges we face, distill complex concepts into emotionally resonant formats, and help us envision more just and equitable futures. Their work deserves critical and financial support.

Amplify Arts Amplify provides resources for artists organizers and cultural workers to incubate liberatory ideas that move our community forward. ALTERNATE CURRENTS On December 11th artists and organizers Amanada Huckins Alex Jochim Joseph Orzal Bilgesu Sisman Marcey Yates and Rachel Ziegler discussed navigating alternative models of economic organization and building resilience in the face of precarity and the uncertain future of arts funding. On October 18th Mioux Stabler and Lydia Cheshewalla sat down with Casey Welsch for a conversation about food sovereigntys role in confronting generations of colonial dispossession and revitalizing community health and cultural autonomy. The struggles of artists and cultural workers for fair compensation and financial stabilitysustainability cannot and should not exist independent of struggles for housing healthcare education and protections led by people from all walks of life.
