Dr. Perry Shen is the director of the liver and pancreas surgery program at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Along with Dr. Russell Howerton and Dr. Eleftherios Makris, this trio is revolutionizing the field of hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) cancer surgery. Their expertise spans robotic-assisted procedures and complex liver/pancreatic resections. We’re one of only a handful of centers recognized as a Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence in North Carolina and the sole provider in the western part of the state to offer hepatic artery infusion pumps for colorectal liver metastases and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
