SBAE – The Movement for School-Based Agricultural Education Welcome to SBAE Our Mission Our mission is to catalyze a broad coalition of partners to build capacity and create an enabling environment to advance schoolbased agricultural education in subSaharan Africa. Home to almost one billion people 60 percent of subSaharan Africas population is under the age of 25 and most reside in rural areas. Over twothirds of youth are unemployed or underemployed and by 2050 the regions population will double. With its 100year legacy schoolbased agricultural education SBAE unleashes the diligence and creative capital of Africas youth.
