Attention East Coast Followers! Attend the Washington D.C. Area premiere of the award-winning documentary Remaining Native at DC/DOX on June 15th at 05:45 PM at Regal Gallery Place. Tickets on sale now: https://bit.ly/44EQpGW Remaining Native is a coming-of-age feature documentary told through the perspective of Ku Stevens, a 17-year-old Native American runner from the Yerington Paiute Reservation in Northwest Nevada. The film follows Ku as he navigates his way to college athletics while the memory of his great-grandfather’s 50-mile escape from Indian Boarding School begins to connect past, present, and future. #RemainingNative #DC/DOX (fb)

This Friday marks the last day of school on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. And in just two weeks, the Oyate Ta Kola Ku Community Center (OTKK) will come alive — filled with children from across the reservation, some traveling over 60 miles just to get there. They’re coming for safety. For connection. For joy. They’re coming for a place where they can simply be kids. Each day, nearly double the number of children we see during the school year will walk through OTKK’s doors. And for many of them, this is the only safe space they have. On Pine Ridge, where 54% of families live below the poverty line, summer often brings more isolation and hardship — not less. That’s why OTKK is more than a community center. It’s a lifeline. Free meals, sports, art, and programs that nurture the whole child — all made possible by supporters like you. Will you give today to help make this summer safe, joyful, and full of possibility for the children of Pine Ridge? https://bit.ly/4klFBC4 (fb)
