Our community parks are filled with ballgames every night, making our next #ScottCountyStoryWalk book the perfect choice! Luke Goes to Bat is based on an actual game where Jackie Robinson hit a home run that won the game. You can read this book at Austin Community Park thanks to the generosity of our book sponsor, Scott County Kiwanis! Families can enjoy the book and activities through the end of August. We think it’s a myth that teachers get to take off all summer! All the teachers we know are still planning for the next year, thinking about their students, and helping out in the community. We want to give a big thank you to our Early Childhood Committee members for all their hard work. Even during their summer break they are working!
