Congratulations to Regional Director Dhiren Masters and his Ambassadors for hosting a successful North Texas Hotel Owners Conference & Trade Show — our largest of the year, featuring nearly 100 exhibitors. During the General Session, attendees heard from Irving Councilman David Pfaff, Assistant Chief Richard Foy of the Dallas Police Department, and Justin Bragiel, General Counsel & Legislative Director at THLA. The education session, “Protect Yourself: Safeguarding Your Future in Hospitality,” covered topics including immigration law, legal protections, and preparing for the future through succession planning and estate tools such as wills and trusts.

Our new on-demand session provides real-world actions you can take now to protect yourself, your team, and your guests. Several of the tips shared by the presenters include: - Hire and vet rigorously: Written applications, verify gaps, call prior employers, run background checks (where permitted), and use E-Verify; avoid rushed hires.
