New Life Recovery and Training Center
The New Life Recovery and Training Center is a non-profit organization focused on providing residential services and training for adult males. It was incorporated in 1999 by DOD Construction Company as a vehicle for enhancing the quality of life for its participants.
Mission and Goals
The center's mission is to empower individuals to achieve positive life skills and overall independence. It offers a comprehensive range of services designed to promote self-sufficiency and successful community integration for its participants. Key goals include:

- 24-hour Supervised Residential Care: Double room occupancy with full amenities, meals, and recreation areas.
- Individualized Service Plans: Tailored plans to manage short and long-term goals.
- Substance Abuse Awareness and Counseling: Drug resistance education, relapse prevention, and self-help support groups.
- Vocational Training: On-site training in construction trades.
- Employment Development and Placement Services: Job readiness and placement assistance.
- Family and Community Reintegration: Efforts to restore and build relationships with family members and the community.
- Permanent Housing Placement Assistance: Support in finding long-term housing.
Target Population
The New Life Recovery and Training Center primarily serves males aged 18 and older, including veterans, former foster youth, and ex-offenders. These individuals are provided with a supportive environment to overcome challenges and achieve stable lifestyles.
Program Duration
Participants who qualify for transitional housing can receive services for up to two years. This extended period allows ample time for individuals to stabilize their lives and gain the necessary skills for independent living.
Aftercare Services
Upon completing the program, graduates are offered a six-month follow-up/aftercare program. This includes weekly group sessions to discuss challenges and provide ongoing support for maintaining self-sufficiency and independence.
