Home - Grandma's Place Our Mission To provide shelter and loving care to children who have suffered abuse or neglect and have been removed from their homes and to provide supports to parentscaregivers of children with special needs to maximize each childs safety and success. Shelter Services Emergency shelter for boys girls from birth to the age of 12 who have been removed from their homes by DCF due to abuse neglect or abandonment. Respite Care Emergency overnight weekend and afterschool care for children from birth to the age of 12 with mild to moderate special needs. Family Support Program Parent training and mentoring for caregivers of children with special needs to provide strategies to manage behavioral problems specific communication techniques and share experiences.
