STF brings awareness and support to those affected by domestic abuse through our hotline, preventative programs, workshops, and legal team. Shalom Task Force: Combatting domestic violence and fostering safe and healthy relationships. The purposes of Shalom Task Force, Inc. are to deal with matters of domestic abuse and promote peaceful family relations and more specifically: a) to provide services for families who suffer from domestic abuse; b) to provide other services as may be necessary, including without limitation, counseling, financial assistance, support services and referral services; c) to provide educational programs about the problems of domestic abuse; d) to act as a coordinating body to foster joint and cooperative action and programs on this issue among other organizations; e) to act as an information and referral resource; and f) to do any other act or thing incidental or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof.

As we prepare to celebrate Shavuot- the moment we as a nation stood at Har Sinai and received the Torah- we are reminded of one of the most profound gifts Hashem gave us: free will. The Torah tells us that Hashem chose the Jewish people to be the recipients of His law, and the Jewish people chose to accept it, proclaiming “Naaseh v’nishma”- we will do, and we will hear. This sacred exchange, rooted in choice, continues to define our identity as a people.
