The Bastrop County Women's Shelter, operating as the Family Crisis Center, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and services to individuals affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The organization has been serving rural Central Texas for over 40 years, specifically in the counties of Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette, and Lee.

History

The Bastrop County Women's Shelter was established in 1981 by a coalition of rural Texas women who shared a vision of providing hope, support, and assistance to victims of domestic violence. It became an incorporated nonprofit in 1983 and has since become a community leader in addressing these issues.
