COMING UP FROM OUR FRIENDS at MATA Festival! Don't miss their 2025 Festival, featuring four concerts from June 11-14 at Issue Project Room, opening with the Sun Ra Arkestra in Jessie Cox’s Enter the Impossible. The 2025 Festival explores the concept of INTERGALACTIC INFINITY: Music Between Spaces – music that connects with the diaspora of ancestry and heritage. This year's festival pairs major works by established artists including Jessie Cox, Oliver Lake, George Lewis, Roscoe Mitchell, Wadada Leo Smith, and Reza Vali with works by 18 early career composers selected for this year's cohort, including Next Festival Emerging Artist Diallo Banks!
