Hidden History DFW: @hiddenhistorydfw Hidden History DFW Bio: Don and Jocelyn Pinkard are co-owners of Hidden History DFW (HHDFW). The company has been in operation for seven years and has conducted tours for over 6,000 people in the Dallas area. This exciting tour uncovers the forgotten sites of Dallas that were instrumental in developing one of the largest and most vibrant African American communities in the country. In addition to conducting tours, HHDFW provides educational presentations focusing on various aspects of African American life locally and nationally. Our most popular local presentation is “Dallas the First 100 Years”. “The Significance of Juneteenth” is our most popular national presentation. Both have been shared with churches, civic organizations and corporations alike, locally and nationally. HHDFW also produces African American themed documentary films. “The Great Yates: Thursday Night Lights and the Magical Season” is their most accomplished and recognized film. This film was selected as a finalist in the documentary category in the 2020 National Black Film Festival and was featured at the 2020 USA Film Festival. Don and Jocelyn retired from careers in corporate life and education respectfully before forming HHDFW. From 2017 to 2020, Baggett served as the Operations Coordinator and Chief of Staff for the College Football Playoff. Over the course of his decade of service to the sports industry, Will helped produce events such as the Super Bowl, Peach Bowl, Final Four, and a host of college football bowl games. As a Division 1 strength and conditioning coach, he also helped produce 19 NFL draft picks, including two first-round picks. Will’s first book, The Blueprint for a Successful Career was released in 2016 to widespread acclaim and has been added to the curriculum at multiple, nationally accredited universities.
