We are in contact with our partners on the ground and will continue to do all we can to monitor and respond to the needs of the women we were founded to serve. Susan Retik CoFounder and CEO About Beyond the 11th Two American widows who lost their husbands on 911 started a foundation to counter acts of hate with acts of humanity. Since 2003 we have helped thousands of Afghan widows learn to support themselves and their children.
