Opposing Injustice Through Lyrical Arts Lyrical Oppositions purpose is to cultivate lyrical artists and activists to oppose systemic oppression through creative expression education and communal joy. The Sunday After previously called the Lyrical Takeover is an annual collaboration between Lyrical Assembly and Oak Life Church where they create space for a unique and inspiring event held at Oakstop in Oakland California. It is a celebration of music and faith that brings together a diverse community of people to connect worship and express themselves through the power of poetry music hiphop and storytelling.
