As a name The Menopause Society more accurately reflects and highlights the inclusivity of our organizationinclusiveness in provider types and inclusiveness of providersand the fact that weve never limited our membership to those from North America. While our name has changed our mission has only been strengthened.

The Menopause Society’s 2025 Annual Meeting, with the theme of Optimizing Health and Longevity at Menopause and Beyond, is available virtually through OnDemand. Premature menopause has been described as a life-changing diagnosis with profound physical, psychological, and social consequences. Depression is often associated with early menopause and some women are at greater risk. A new study suggests that risk factors include younger age at diagnosis, severity of menopause symptoms, lack of emotional support, and fertility-related grief.
