The Menopause Society is pleased to present a new addition to the MenoNote series addressing Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause. The genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) includes bothersome vaginal, vulvar, and urinary symptoms that can affect quality of life, sexual satisfaction, and even relationships with partners. Unlike hot flashes, which typically improve with time, GSM usually worsens over time without treatment. tinyurl.com/3uhtnpmx MenoNotes are free information sheets that provide clear, easy-to-understand explanations of important menopause-related topics that you can share with your patients. Other MenoNotes provide information on midlife weight gain, deciding about hormone therapy use, menopause and the workplace, and nonhormone treatments for hot flashes and night sweats, among others. This year’s Annual Meeting scheduled for October 21-25, in Orlando, also will address issues surrounding the genitourinary syndrome of menopause.
