Overview | The Illinois Energy Conservation Authority NFP Overview CPACE is an innovative tool that enables commercial property owners to obtain up to 100 longterm fixedrate financing for energy efficiency renewable energy resiliency water use and electric vehicle charging building improvements. Property owners may obtain financing from private capital providers for eligible improvements such as HVAC lighting and solarphotovoltaic PV systemsand other improvements in both existing buildings and new construction projects. The term of a CPACE financing may extend through the useful life of the improvement which may be up to 2030 years long and can result in cost savings that exceed the amount of the CPACE financing. The Illinois Energy Conservation Authority NFP IECA an Illinois 501c3 nonprofit organization has been at the forefront of developing Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy CPACE programs in Illinois IECA PACE.
