Gallery X is a contemporary, nonprofit art gallery of visual, performing, and literary artists. Gallery X promotes a mission of cultural outreach through art exhibitions, accessible educational programming, and community partnerships to stimulate artistic awareness in New Bedford and the surrounding communities. We seek to act as an incubator for emerging artists as well as a venue for established ones by creating a platform where artists, performers, and creatives of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, have a safe, professional space to showcase their talents as a community.

TONIGHT at 7pm, join Gallery X for a free Ernestina-Morrissey video and history event. Chuck Smiler will be joined by special guests John Bullard and John Braman as they discuss the vessels long and storied history and introduce documentaries, newsreels, and various video clips including narrated reels of Arctic voyages under Captain Bob Bartlett and the Tom Lopes produced documentary Mystery Lady about the repatriation of the Ernestina in 1982.
