Johnson Creek Watershed Council

In late August, the emerald ash borer (EAB) was confirmed in an East Portland neighborhood in Multnomah County. The EAB has decimated ash forests in Eastern North America with little current management solutions. The ash tree tolerates wet and dryer soils making it a beneficial riparian species for water filtration, soil stabilization, and for shading the creek.
