Special Equestrians, Inc. is thankful for the support of our community! Our team worked with Architectural Metals of SW Florida to honor the original entryway statues that Dick Perry, a master wood craftsman, crafted. They were beautiful, and Dick, proud of his huge creation, would refurbish them from time to time, repainting sections. Everyone at Special Equestrians loved their greeting each day! As the years passed, the wood statues could no longer withstand the harsh Florida weather. Still, with the help of the amazing team at Architectural Metals, we were able to create an almost identical design out of aluminum that is sure to honor Dick's original design and stand the test of time. Architectural Metals became a Platinum Taste of Love Sponsor through the process, which helped offset the cost, and board president Freda Jones funded the remaining amount through a grant. Teams completed obstacles alongside their equine partners, discovering spiritual connections, exploring energy work, and expressing feelings of calm and peace.
