A glance at the CO2 sources, sinks and flux section of our weekly research roundup will indicate how anticipating particular quantities of CO2 uptake is premature and insufficiently informed. The fertilization effect is real but we're identifying limits and negative growth feedback effects in the mix. We need to know more before we can rely on forests to clean up our mess.
