MPower Alliance - Where Birthmothers Thrive MPower Alliance MPA was founded in 2007 to fill the deficit in postplacement care and support for women and birthing people who place their children for adoption. MPA is one of the few 501c3 organizations in the United States that works to mitigate the psychological and emotional impact that occurs when someone voluntarily or involuntarily places their children for adoption. MPA knows birth mothersparents are not a monolith. While there are commonalities in our stories we also understand that everyones experience is uniquely their own.
