ESALEN INSTITUTE

To sit in a chair by the ocean, lost in a book, and feel completely held by your own company. To sit side by side with a stranger in quiet companionship, the silence itself a form of connection. To share in laughter and conversation with a new friend, or someone you came here with, the land ever-consistent in familiarity, yet ever-changing with Mother Natureβ€˜s gentle brutality.
